This Advent season back in cinemas!

Director Jaak Kilmi’s family movie “Christmas in the Jungle” tells the story of a 10 year old schoolgirl Paula, who moves to a tropical country with her family and is forced to leave behind everything familiar. Though she likes living there, Paula still misses traditional Christmas, so she and her new friend Akhim embark on a journey to the jungle to find a Christmas shaman. But neither of them knows how dangerous this adventure might be.

Rebeka Šuksta stars as determined Paula, who goes fearlessly into the jungle in search of a Christmas miracle. Paula’s loyal friend and guide Akhim is played by Brydden Fablo Escobar. Estonian beloved actors Saara Pius and Pääru Oja are nature enthusiasts and Tõnu Kark portrays the Christmas shaman.

The film has been dubbed into Estonian and Russian.

In Estonian film version of “Christmas in the Jungle” Elo-Mirt Oja, already known as Anu from the film “Sipsik”, gives her voice to the main character Paula. Nils Jaagup England (“Sleeping Beast”, 2022) gives his voice to Paula’s new friend Akhim. The film has been dubbed into Estonian also by Anti Kobin (Paula’s father), Hilje Murel (Paula’s mother), Liisa Saaremäel (Paula’s sister Kata), Rauno Kaibiainen (Akhim’s father), Tõnu Kiljas (mine’s boss), Mart Toome (boatman Pak Ibu) and many others.

Film was dubbed into Estonian by Orbital Vox Studios. Producer was Uku Toomet, voice director Erki Aule, sound director Markku Tiidumaa and translator Piret Õunapuu.
